Football with Ben 10

PE
We had football with Ben 10 today. We learnt about controlling the ball with different parts of our feet.

For the warm up we moved around the area like different animals.

Then ran to a spot when Ben called out a colour,

We dribbled the ball around the space, trying to keep the ball close by while our partner acted like our shadow and followed, giving us clues to where spaces were in the area.

Now we are starting to dribble the ball under control. We can use our voices to tell someone we want to pass to them and stop the ball using the bottom of our foot.

Homework
It has been brought to my attention that there are some queries about homework.
I know how it can be a grumble to get it done, however in Year 1 it shouldn't be that way.
I've tried to set activities that are simple and reasonably stress free.

The book is for you to use as you please. Make notes in the book, draw things in it that are relevant, eg.
  1. Write numbers 1-20 on another piece of paper, cut them up and your child can stick them into the book in the correct order.
  2. draw around 5 objects to represent 5 (5 lego pieces, 5 circles or 5 jelly beans.)
  3. mummy/daddy put _ coins in the tin.
  4. You could write in a missing number line in it this week for your child to fill in. 1  _  3  4  5  _  7
