Would you believe none of the boys wanted to be on the fairy chart...
English
These past two weeks we have been reading all of the great Fairy tales Cinderella, Goldilocks and the three bears, The princess and the pea and The Three Billy Goats Gruff.
We've sang about Goldilocks and the three bears, making sure we change the pitch of our voices for each of the bears.
I've lost count of how many times I've read Cinderella, so much so that Ella can recite the whole story. Which came in handy when we invited year 5 to come listen to our retell img of the stories using story maps to guide us.
We've acted out freeze frames for Cinderella making sure we use our expressive faces to covey emotions in that moment.

Art
This half term our main focus for art was William Morris and his wonderful wallpaper. We've been mindful and coloured in his patterns, we even painted very neatly to colour in his patterns too. Then we started to make some of our own William Morris style wallpaper which will decorate our classroom wall. We started by doing leaf prints.
Then we made some leaf rubbings using wax crayons.
History
Today was the last day of our history topic St Albans through the ages, starting in the Stone Age and finishing with the Vikings. We have made some fantastic things over the weeks and here are the children proudly displaying their Roman daggers
