Andy Goldsworthy is an artist and sculptor who works in the natural environment using natural materials. 

We thought we would link our art work to our topic on nature, that we are focusing on this term.

The life cycle of the sunflower

Having learnt about the life cycle of the sunflower in a lesson, some of the children practised acting it out in the playground and performed to the rest of the class.

Plants around our school

The children have been producing a leaflet to show which plants can be found in the grounds of Sandridge school.

Today we found a new plant that we didn't see on our initial plant hunt last week. With the help of Mrs Virgi in the office, we were able to name it.

Do you know what this is called? 

Cuckoo flower.
